Current Status – Final Stage of Development

At the turn of the 19th century social change and progress were slowly spreading across the British Empire. In England, both town and country were still rife with poverty and struggle. But in the backalleys and fairgrounds of Bristol a new kind of popular hero was emerging. His name was Jem Belcher and he was to transform primitive pugilism into the sport of kings.

This is the birth of boxing.  This is Prizefighter.
